Maya Lior is a Character Designer and freelance artist based in Roswell, GA. She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in Animation, where she learned traditional hand-drawn animation before transitioning into digital.

 

She loves working in 2D and has experience designing for both 2D and 3D TV pipelines across Adult and Pre-K shows. In addition to screen work, Maya also works as a Character Plush & Hard Toy Designer, creating designs for beloved IP characters.

 

Most recently, Maya worked as a Character Designer on Disney Junior’s Ariel, an iconic and cherished Disney property, bringing mermaids, merlins, and under-the-sea creatures to life.

At home, she enjoys painting with gouache and has recently been exploring wooden doll art. She’s always looking for the next creative challenge, feel free to reach out!
