Hi everyone! I can’t believe it’s almost October and @lightboxexpo is just a few weeks away!
I usually come to LBX to walk around or join a panel, but this year is extra special because I’ll have my very first artist alley table. You can find me at 🩷 Table #304, right next to my super talented friends @demi.draws , @chelsea_trousdale , and @_rinska

A lot of you have asked about my artbook, so I’m glad to share that I’ll be bringing copies of “Square” with me, along with new prints, keychains, stickers, my one of a kind wooden dolls, and possibly a few original paintings. I’m still deciding what to paint, so if there’s something you’d like to see at my table, please let me know.

In addition, on Friday, October 24th (My B-day), I’ll be joining my amazing friends on the panel “Mastering Self Promotion for Artists” with @lb.illustrates , @whitneypollett and @no_the_robot

Ok, can we talk about this? Does anyone recall or know who Princess Mombi is? She's the beautiful sorceress villain from the 1985 Disney movie Return to Oz who takes over the Emerald City.

What makes Princess Mombi so unique are her multiple enchanted heads she can switch based on her mood. When Dorothy appears, Princess Mombi locks her up in her tower intending to add her head to her collection once Dorothy comes of age.

Watching that scene as a child both terrified and mesmerized me. The beauty and sound of everything had me hooked despite the fear. If you haven't seen Return to Oz, you need to! The mechanical wheelers were the most frightening part for me. 😬 let me know if you remember this movie?

Figuring out her hair was one of the more enjoyable parts of the design process—if you look closely, the back forms a star shape to echo her overall theme.

I got to Shellabrate with my two little kids over the weekend with a Clam-Azing premier party! It’s such a joy to see how my kids love this show and that after two years it’s finally here for the whole world to enjoy.

I had the pleasure to collab with the lovely @caitlin_wing on this new mermaid for @mermay_official prompt “Lagoon”. Caitlin sent me beautiful photos and that inspired her initial pose.
